On 20 June 1948 the balance sheet total of the bank amounted to RM
230.5 m and the capital was RM 15.5 m. One day later, on the exact day of the currency reform, the
balance sheet total was RM 25.5 m and the capital was RM 3.1 m. The changeover initially meant a
huge financial loss, but provided the foundation for economic development. |
| 1949 |
After a restitution comparison was made, the Warburg family
represented by Eric M. Warburg once again became partners of the bank. |
| 1956 |
Eric M. Warburg entered the company management as a liable
partner. |
| 1969 |
The name change the Warburgs desired was implemented. The bank was now
called M.M.Warburg-Brinckmann, Wirtz & Co.
