Testimonials from our trainees

The fact that Warburg is a family-run company is also evident from the sense of close connection among its employees. For a trainee, there are many activities and events, including after work, and that makes it extremely easy to start feeling at home in the North if you’re not from Hamburg.

Bente Lorenzen, Head of Private Clients and Digital Asset Management Processes

In my view, the general approach makes the trainee programme especially suitable for people who have not yet decided on a specific specialist area, since it provides an insight into all areas of the bank.

Marjan Sarrafan, Corporate Banking

For anyone who likes to contend with a constant stream of new issues, the Warburg trainee programme is the right start for an ambitious and exciting career.

Professional training

Connect theory with practice.
Would you like to start your professional life and take on responsibilities right after graduation? Then professional training with us is just what you need. We offer a challenging training programme that will open doors for you. Thanks to our friendly corporate culture, you’ll be an integral part of our bank from day one. We’ll personally guide you along your training path so that you can navigate the day-to-day details of banking business. We’ll get you involved right from the start, and you’ll also have the chance to get to know departments outside of the training plan.

We don’t come up short on fun either. You can get to know your fellow trainees better at trainee events including bowling or visits to escape rooms or adventure parks.

We regularly offer the trainee positions Bank Clerk, Cook and IT Specialist (with a focus on application development or system integration). We like to have independent and inquisitive trainees.

Testimonials from our trainees

For me, the chance to do independent work, to grow in the job and to select the training departments myself make Warburg unique in terms of professional training. During the entire period of training, I was able to develop technically and personally as much as possible.

Erik Thoms, honoured as best banking trainee in Hamburg 2022

Both the respectful cooperation between colleagues and the communication on an equal footing create a working atmosphere in which you feel comfortable. I also find it really valuable that trainees are given a permanent contact person as a mentor, to whom they can turn if they have any questions.

Larissa von Massenbach

I especially liked the fact that trainees are given the opportunity right from the start to make their own contribution to the department with their tasks.
