Good reasons for a Mastercard®

Mobile payment via smartphone is a standard feature of your new credit card. This allows you to pay quickly and contactlessly simply by holding your smartphone against the payment terminal — cashless, convenient, and secure.

The prerequisites for this are enrollment in online banking, a valid TAN verification method (via the "SecureGo plus" app), and an NFC-enabled smartphone. Mobile payments can be made even without an internet connection.

For Apple users, we now also offer Apple Pay as a payment option. Apple Pay is the integrated payment system for all Apple devices. Simply add your card to the pre-installed Wallet app and start paying with your smartphone.

If you wish to make payments using an Android device, please use the M.M.Warburg banking app. The app enables you to use digital credit cards.

Protection against liability in the event of unauthorised use
Your new Mastercard® debit card is equipped with modern security features. This minimises your risk in the event of unauthorized payments. 

Shop online with enhanced security 
You may already be familiar with the 3D Secure authentication from your credit card. When shopping online with your new Mastercard® debit card, this protection will also apply. However, this requires a one-time registration. You can find the details here.

Reporting of your transactions
Your transactions are charged to your account in short order and are subsequently visible in your online banking or on your account statement.

Easily block and unblock your card yourself
You can block your new debit card in your online banking and unblock it again, if necessary.
A notification of the bank is not required any longer.
