When you visit our Web pages, text files are used which are stored on your hard disk and which supply us with specific pieces of information. These are so-called cookies and super cookies (summarily called “cookies”). Storing them helps us to improve our digital offerings and facilitates your use of our website. The cookies we use cannot be linked to specific individuals. When a cookie is activated, an identification number is assigned to it. Your data is not linked to this identification number.
Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your hard disk after the end of the browser session. In addition we also use cookies which remain on your hard disk. This allows the system to automatically recognize during future visits that you have visited us before and your preferred parameters and settings. These cookies are stored on your hard disk and are automatically deleted after a certain period of time.
You can prevent cookies from being stored by setting your browser to not accept cookies; however, we point out that in this case you might not be able to use our digital products and financial services (interference-free).

On-site targeting, retargeting, and conversion tracking

Pursuant to section 6 (1) lit. f General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data is collected on our website on the basis of our legitimate interest through cookies for the purpose of improving our digital offerings. This data is not used to identify you personally but solely serves a pseudonymous  analysis of user behavior.
To this end we use the marketing and remarketing services (“Google marketing services” for short) of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
This technology allows us to approach Internet users with advertising on the basis of their previous interest in our digital products and services on the websites of our partners (“retargeting”). The insertion of these advertising materials on our partners’ Web pages is based on cookie technology as well as an analysis of previous user behavior. This form of advertising is pseudonymous . No data is stored and no user profiles are matched with your data.
The other Google marketing services we employ include the online advertising program “Google AdWords.” We use so-called conversion tracking (“conversion”). The cookie for conversion is inserted when a user clicks on an ad that was placed by the provider of the respective conversion service (“service”). These cookies become invalid after a while and do not personally identify the user. When the user visits specific pages of the website of the company that has commissioned the service—in our case our online offerings—and the cookie has not yet expired, the provider of the service and the principal can recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and was forwarded to this page. The information collected with the help of the cookie serves to generate statistics for the respective principals. The principals learn the total number of users who have clicked on their ad and were forwarded to a page equipped with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information which allows them to personally identify the user.
