Access data and cookies

When using our websites, text data is activated which is stored on your hard-drive and which enables certain information to be provided to us. These data are so-called cookies and supercookies (generally, “cookies”). This storage helps us to improve the design of our digital offering and to make it easier for you to use. The cookies used by us cannot be assigned to particular individuals. With the activation of the cookies, an identification number is attributed. Your data are not allocated to this identification number.
Most of the cookies used by us are automatically deleted again from your hard-drive at the end of the browser session. Additionally, we also use cookies that remain on your hard-drive. In the event of another visit, it automatically recognises that you visited our website before and which entries and settings are favoured by you. These cookies are stored on your hard-drive and, after a certain period of time, are automatically deleted.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by activating the relevant settings on your browser; we would like to point out however that, under certain circumstances, the (uninterrupted) use of our digital offering or our financial services may then not be possible.

On-site targeting, re-targeting, and conversion tracking

On the basis of our legitimate interests according to GDPR Art.6.1(f), cookies are used within our digital offering to collect data for the improvement of the digital offering. This data is not used to identify you personally but serves solely an evaluation of the user behaviour under a pseudonym.
For this purpose, we have integrated the Matomo component to this internet site. Matomo is an open-source software tool for the gathering, collection and evaluation of data related to the behaviour of visitors to internet sites, which enable us to understand the origin of the visitors and clicks and are used by us for the optimisation of the internet site and for cost-benefit analysis of internet advertising.
In the context of this technical process, we gain knowledge of personal data, like the IP address of the person concerned, which serves, among other things, to help us understand the origin of the visitor and the clicks.
Matomo places a cookie in the IT system of the person concerned. Via the cookie, personal information like the access time, the location of the outgoing access, and the frequency of the visits to our internet site are stored. For each visit to our internet site, this personal data, including the IP address of the internet connection used by the person concerned, is transferred to our server and stored. We do not pass on this personal data to third parties.
As already mentioned, the person concerned can, at any time, prevent and thus permanently reject the placement of cookies by activating the relevant settings of the internet browser used. Such internet browser settings would also prevent Matomo from placing a cookie on the IT system of the person concerned. Additionally a cookie previously placed by Matomo can be deleted at any time via an internet browser or other software programme.
Furthermore, the person concerned has the option to reject and prevent the recording of data related to the use of this internet site generated by Matomo. To do so, the person concerned must activate the “Do Not Track” setting within the browser.
With the setting of the opt-out cookies, however, there is a possibility that the internet sites of the Data Controller may no longer be fully usable by the person concerned.
Further information and the relevant data protection provisions of Matomo can be accessed under:

In addition to Matomo, we use the "Google Analytics" service offered by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to analyse website usage by users. This service also uses cookies. The information collected by the cookies is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

IP anonymisation is used on our website. The IP address of the user is shortened within the member states of the EU and the European Economic Area. This shortening eliminates the personal reference of your IP address. Within the framework of the data commissioning agreement which the website operators have concluded with Google Inc., the latter uses the information collected to evaluate website use and website activity and provides services associated with internet use.

Here too, you have the option of preventing the cookie from being stored on your device by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to access all functions of this website without restriction if your browser does not allow cookies.

Furthermore, you can use a browser plug-in to prevent the information collected by cookies (including your IP address) from being sent to and used by Google Inc.
